Zach Gaddy

Owner

Meet Zach

Zach’s journey into woodworking and design began with his first job after college, working for an architectural millwork company that specialized in designing and building the interiors of multi-million-dollar homes and yachts. As a design engineer, he developed a passion for the intricate craft of woodworking and the creative process behind it.

In 2014, he joined Metrolina Woodworks as the company’s only design engineer. In his spare time, he jumped into projects in the shop or on-site, helping build and install the designs he created. These hands-on experiences inspired him to work on personal projects in his garage, further honing his skills by building custom coffee tables, consoles, and more for family and friends.

Zach quickly advanced to Project Manager, where he developed an ability to foresee issues and solutions before they arose. This experience also elevated his design abilities, allowing him to visualize how things would function without needing physical models.

In February 2022, seven years after joining Metrolina Woodworks, Zach had the honor of becoming the owner. He's proud to carry on the legacy built by previous owner Fred Crawford AKA “Sir Frederick of Stallings.”
Zach loves working with his team to transform 2D-drawn plans into tangible products that exceed client expectations. He also values the authentic relationships he’s built with colleagues and clients.

Outside work, Zach is a huge Manchester United fan, supports Charlotte FC, and participates in a weekly men’s Bible study. The mountains are where he replenishes his soul, and he loves traveling and experiencing new things with his wife Jessica. Zach’s greatest joy comes from playing and being silly with his two children.
